About Us

Located in Board of Education District 4 and KCS Region 1, Rocky Hill Elementary, has been a cornerstone of our community for since 1940. A major renovation in 1991 added new facilities, blending tradition with modern learning spaces. Today, we proudly serve approximately 750 students in a warm, supportive, and engaging environment.

At the heart of everything we do is our vision: The Rocky Hill School Community collaborates to inspire all students to achieve their goals of academic excellence; social, emotional, and physical well-being; and to respect diversity in themselves and others.

Our school is known for its strong sense of community and cherished traditions, including the beloved Kindergarten Turkey Trot, the festive Rocky Hill Christmas Parade, and the magical Candy Cane Cottage — a holiday shop where students can purchase gifts for loved ones. All proceeds from the Candy Cane Cottage support our school’s benevolence fund, which provides assistance to Rocky Hill students and families in need.

Throughout the year, families come together for a variety of PTO-hosted events like Mad Science Night, Literacy Night, and the always popular Rocky Hill Rodeo.

At Rocky Hill Elementary, learning, tradition, and community spirit come together to create an exceptional place for children and families to grow.
